CONSENT ITEM - 8J <br />'It <br />-z3 II��EN_ HILLS <br />MEMORANDUM <br />DATE: December 9, 2024 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br />Jessica Jagoe, Interim City Administrator <br />FROM: Julie Hanson, Assistant to the City Administrator/City Clerk <br />SUBJECT: Cancellation of the Second Work Session and Regular City Council Meeting in <br />December <br />Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br />Council Should Consider <br />Motions to approve, table, or deny the following: <br />• Approval of cancellation of the second work session and regular City Council meeting in <br />December. <br />Background/Discussion <br />The City Council traditionally has cancelled a meeting if there are no items requiring timely <br />action by the Council, or it may reschedule a meeting to a Tuesday if a holiday falls on a <br />Monday. <br />This year, the second meeting of December falls on Monday, December 23. Based on the fact <br />that all necessary items that require action and/or discussion have been or are being addressed <br />either at the December 9 work session and/or regular meeting, the City Council should consider <br />formally cancelling the second work session and regular meeting of December. <br />Please note that any items requiring new or further action would be placed on the agenda for the <br />first work session and/or regular meeting on January 13, 2025. <br />Page l of 1 <br />
