ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL — NOVEMBER 12, 2024 5 <br />Councilmember Holden stated Veteran's Day was on Monday, November 11. She explained she <br />attended the Minnesota State Veterans event that was held at the Ben Franklin Center. She <br />indicated this event was very well attended by Arden Hills' veterans. She thanked the Mayor, <br />Representative Betty McCollum and Senator Klobuchar for attending this event as well. <br />Councilmember Monson commented one of the items approved on the Consent Agenda was to <br />approve the PIE (Partners in Energy) program. She discussed the light kits that were now <br />available for residents of Arden Manor. <br />Mayor Grant stated Arden Hills hosted a Veterans Day event for the State of Minnesota. He <br />explained Governor Walz, Representative Betty McCollum, Senator Klobuchar, Representative <br />Ilhan Omar and himself were all in attendance at this event. He stated he had the honor of leading <br />the pledge of allegiance for those in attendance and noted the City received a proclamation for <br />hosting this event. He asked that staff place this proclamation in the City's showcase. <br />Mayor Grant commented on his experience of purchasing a new energy efficient dishwasher <br />noting the City has $7,500 in grant funding available for residents.' <br />Councilmember Rousseau commented Ed Warner recently passed away. <br />ADJOURN <br />MOTION: Mayor Grant moved and Councilmember Rousseau seconded a motion to <br />adjourn.
