Appendix A <br />WAGES AND CLASSIFICATIONS <br />A. Effective January 1, 2024 the pay scale will be increased by a $2.00 Market <br />Adjustment and three percent COLA, see below for 2024 pay scale. <br />Step <br />1 <br />Pay <br />rate/hour <br />28.94 <br />Time advance to next <br />step <br />6 months to step 2 <br />2 <br />30.26 <br />6 months to step 3 <br />3 <br />31.64 <br />12 months to step 4 <br />4 <br />33.08 <br />12 months to step 5 <br />5 <br />34.60 <br />12 months to step 6 <br />6 <br />36.19 <br />N/A <br />The EMPLOYER will have the sole discretion to hire employees at a step determined <br />during the hiring process, the EMPLOYER may take into consideration factors including, <br />but not limited to, education, qualifications, and work experience of an applicant. The <br />EMPLOYER will have the right to hire employees at different steps and will have no <br />obligation to adjust existing union employees pay rate to match new employees. <br />B. Employees employed by the EMPLOYER on a temporary basis for no more than nine <br />hundred -sixty hours (960) per calendar year, either in a full-time or part-time capacity, <br />will be paid at an hourly rate as determined by the EMPLOYER for the term of their <br />employment. Such employees will not be eligible for any rights or benefits under this <br />AGREEMENT, including Article V, "Employee Rights/ Grievance Procedure". <br />C. License Pay Incentive <br />Any employee who has or completes training for and receives from the Minnesota <br />Department of Transportation Certification as a Minnesota Commercial Vehicle <br />Inspector, or receives from the State of Minnesota Certification as both a Tree and Weed <br />Inspector shall receive an hourly incentive of $0.10/hour to their base wage. <br />
