<br /> ARDEN HILLS REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES <br /> OCTOBER 14, 2003 5 <br /> . <br /> B, Plannim!: Commission Vacancy <br /> Mr. Parrish stated a vacancy on the Planning Commission was created with the <br /> resignation of Cathy Smithknect. Since reappointment of the entire Planning <br /> Commission for 2004 was approaching, staff asked current Planning <br /> Commissioners whether or not they were interested in being reappointed for 2004. <br /> He indicated four out of the five Planning Commissioners responded and all <br /> indicated they would like to be reappointed. He asked Council to authorize staff <br /> to recruit to fill the existing Planning Commission vacancy. <br /> MOTION: Councilmember Grant moved and Councilmember Larson seconded a <br /> motion to authorize staff to advertise the recruitment for the existing <br /> Planning Commission vacancy. The motion carried unanimously (4- <br /> 0). <br /> CITY COUNCIL REPORTS <br /> . Ms. Wolfe - Requested Council to come to the Work Session with dates for the <br /> January retreat. She indicated pictures had been scheduled for the beginning of <br /> the November Work Session. <br /> Mr. Parrish ~ None. <br /> Councilmember Larson - Noted that the renewal cycle for the various TCAAP <br /> fire protection contracts would begin soon. <br /> Councilmember Holden - Stated the Newsletter articles were due this week. <br /> Councilmember Grant - Stated he had attended two of the neighborhood <br /> meetings and thanked staff and Mayor Aplikowski for the presentations and <br /> preparation. He asked for an update on Karth Lake. Mr. Landwer replied they <br /> had a pre-construction meeting scheduled for this Thursday, October 16 and they <br /> hoped to start work within the next week or two. <br /> . Mayor Aplikowski - Stated Mr. Moore was ill at home and wished him a speedy <br /> recovery. She stated the Guidant project was looking good. She thanked staff for <br />
