ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL—DECEMBER 9, 2024 18 <br /> Mayor Grant stated he received a request from a resident asking to install a stop sign on Lake <br /> Valentine Road at Old Snelling. He reported there had been a number of accidents at this <br /> intersection. He indicated there used to be a stop sign at this intersection and it had been removed. <br /> He recommended City staff review this matter. <br /> Mayor Grant commented he received an email from Ramsey County noting funding has been <br /> earmarked and approved for the 800 megahertz radios, noting the County would be receiving <br /> $2,965,000 in federal funding. He thanked Betty McCollum and Amy Klobuchar for their support <br /> on this item. <br /> Councilmember Holden commented it was the County who made the decision about Lake <br /> Valentine Road and Old Snelling because they wanted traffic to flow on Lake Valentine Road, <br /> and Ramsey County pulled the stop sign. She anticipated staff would have to speak with the <br /> County regarding this matter. <br /> Councilmember Fabel stated in the interest of time he would forego further comment. <br /> Councilmember Rousseau explained she would like further information from staff on the plans <br /> for the Hazelnut Park parking lot. <br /> Councilmember Rousseau thanked Planning Commissioners Arlene Mitchell, Shelley Blilie and <br /> Jonathan Wicklund for their service on the Planning Commission. <br /> Councilmember Monson reported a LEED for Communities Kickoff was held for Rice Creek <br /> Commons where the rubric for the project was reviewed. <br /> Councilmember Monson indicated the fire department approved the budget at their last meeting. <br /> ADJOURN <br /> MOTION: Mayor Grant moved and Councilmember Monson seconded a motion to <br /> adiourn. The motion carried (5-0). <br /> Mayor Grant adjourned the Regular City Council Meeting at 10:00 p.m. <br /> Julie anson David Grant <br /> City Jerk Mayor <br />
