Parks, Trails & Recreation Committee – December 17, 2024 Page 12 <br /> <br />Committee Member Jacobson asked for confirmation that the maximum number of committee <br />members is 13. <br /> <br />Committee Member Johnson asked if something would be put in the newsletter regarding <br />recruiting for the committee. <br /> <br />Recreation Supervisor Johnson said he did include the openings in the guide. He said Staff <br />posts about openings on social media, periodically. He can request that Senior Communications <br />Coordinator Cardona post about this specific committee’s openings. <br /> <br />Council Liaison Rousseau outlined the openings on other commissions and committees. <br /> <br />D. Trail History Information <br /> <br />Recreation Supervisor Johnson was asked to share the historical information. It is difficult to <br />read. The information regarding the parks and trails back in the day. It’s interesting to see the <br />different park names. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued regarding information in the historical information. Recreation Supervisor <br />Johnson said the information is online and will be attached to the agenda for tonight’s meeting. <br /> <br />Continued Discussion Regarding Electing a Chair <br /> <br />Chair Anderson asked if anyone had thought about it and would like to volunteer. She will talk <br />to Committee Member Rogers to see if she has interest. The Chair discussion will continue at <br />the next meeting. <br /> <br />Council Liaison Rousseau said someone will have to run the January meeting. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued regarding upcoming meetings and how years previously, the first couple <br />meetings were moved around due to holidays and other meeting needing to be rescheduled for <br />the PTRC usual date. <br /> <br />6. NEXT MEETING <br /> <br />A. Tuesday, January 21, 2024 <br /> <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />MOTION: Committee Member Jacobson moved and Committee Member Johnson <br />seconded a motion to adjourn at 7:50 pm. The motion carried (10-0).
