<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />JANUARY 31, 2000 <br />7:30 P,M. - ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDERlROLL CALL <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor Dennis Probst called to order the regular <br />City Council meeting at 7:33 p,m, <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Dennis Probst, Councilmembers Beverly Aplikowski, David Grant, <br />Gregg Larson, and Lois Rem. <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />None, <br /> <br />Also present were City Administrator, Joe Lynch; Public Works Director, Dwayne <br />Stafford; Associate Planner, Nancy Randall; Parks and Recreation Director, Thomas J, <br />Moore; Recreation Program Supervisor, Michelle Olson; and City Engineer, Greg Brown, <br />BRW; and Recording Secretary, Lori Rolfson. <br /> <br />ADOPT AGENDA <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Councilmember Grant moved and Councilmember Aplikowski seconded a motion <br />to adopt the agenda for the January 31, 2000, regular City Council meeting. The <br />motion carried unanimously (5-0). <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />A. December 13, 1999 Regular Council Meeting <br />B, December 30,1999 Council Worksession <br />C. January 3, 2000 Organizational Council Meeting <br />D, January 10, 2000 Regular Council Meeting <br />E. January 18, 2000 Council Worksession <br /> <br />Mr. Lynch requested that on page three of the January 18,2000 minutes, the third paragraph, <br />beginning with the eighth line, be amended to read, "",it's recommendation to the City Council; <br />the financial impacts of alternatives being considered;Jhe final per foot assessment cost if <br />Hamline is deleted; and concerns about its MSA funding status," <br /> <br />Councilmember Grant stated that on page II of the January 10, 2000 minutes the curb and gutter <br />cost should be corrected to $8 per foot. <br /> <br />Councilmember Larson stated that with regard to page two of the December 20, 1999 minutes, <br />last line of the third paragraph under item b, he was not certain that this sentence was phrased <br />appropriately. Councilmember Aplikowski stated that the wording ofthis sentence accurately <br />reflected the discussions at the Worksession, Councilmember Larson agreed, however, he was <br />not certain that the term "take control of the fields" was appropriate, He did not believe that the <br />City could take control of the soccer fields and felt that this statement gave the wrong impression <br />
