<br />ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL - JANUARY 31, 2000 <br /> <br />26 <br /> <br />Councilmember Grant asked ifthe coaxial cable will be screened, Ms, Randall stated that the <br />cable can be painted to match the tower and the majority of the cable can be run inside the water <br />tower beginning at a certain point. Councilmember Grant recommended that the cable be <br />painted to match the color of tlle tower. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Council member Aplikowski moved and Councilmember Larson seconded a <br />motion to approve Planning Case #00-05, Special Use Permit and Site Plan <br />Review, subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />3, <br />4, <br />5, <br />6, <br />e <br />7, <br /> <br />1, The antennas and all mounts shall be painted to match the color of <br />the water tower. <br />2, A lease agreement shall be maintained with the City of Arden Hills <br />which details rent payments and other specific requirements ofthe <br />City, If at any time, the lease shall terminate, the Special Use <br />Permit shall be terminated or reviewed and the City may impose <br />other restrictions or conditions as warranted, <br />No welding shall be done, or other mechanical attachments used on <br />the water tower tanle <br />The driveway leading from the existing drive to the equipment <br />building be a bitwninous surface to match the existing drive. <br />Enclose the equipment pad with a six foot high cedar wood fence. <br />The equipment be screened on the south side by six blue spruce <br />trees, six to eight feet tal!, planed 12 feet apart at 45 degree angles <br />as shown on Exhibit C, <br />The applicant be responsible for snow removal along the proposed <br />drive, <br /> <br />Mayor Probst requested that the following conditions be added: <br /> <br />8, The trees being removed for the driveway be relocated on the site, <br />9. The Public Works Director have approval rights of the driveway <br />construction, <br /> <br />Councilmembers Aplikowski and Larson concurred with the additional conditions, <br /> <br />The motion carried unanimously (5-0). <br /> <br />b. PCS Sitc Agreement between the City and Sprint Spectrum L.P., <br />Authorization to Execute Lease Agreement <br /> <br />Mayor Probst requested confirmation that the proposed lease was comparable with the elements <br />of other leases, Ms, Randal! stated that it was, <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />With regard to paragraph number two of the lease agreement, Councilmember Larson noted that <br />the term of the lease provides that the applicant can automatically renew the lease for four <br />additional terms of five years each, unless the applicant decides not do so and provides the City <br />
