<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL - June 26, 2000 <br /> <br />12 <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATOR COMMENTS <br /> <br />Mr. Lynch stated that staff have processed applications for internships for code enforcement <br />assistants, He added the process should be completed by the end of the week, including <br />background investigations and offer. He noted an intern will hopefully be starting after the July <br />4th weekend, <br /> <br />Mr. Lynch stated the recodification process should be ready for the Council's review at their July <br />worksession, after which Council's comments will be incorporated and a public hearing will be <br />scheduled in August. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />Councilmember Grant stated the Ingerson task force met 2 weeks ago to review the city's <br />assessment policy, He added the meeting included a history and interpretation of the policy, He <br />noted the City Engineer presented 3 alternatives for the lake access at the bottom ofIngerson <br />Road, an area of concern to the residcnts as neighborhood property would be devalued by use of <br />that association property, <br /> <br />Mayor Probst asked whether the group had indicated when the Council could expect a response <br />from them, Cowlcilmember Grant stated they had not indicated when a recommendation was <br />forthcoming, <br /> <br />Councilmember Larson stated this needs to be discussed, as the group is in agreement that they <br />want to have their report ready soon, <br /> <br />Councilmember Grant stated the Parks & Recreation Committee met recently and discussed the <br />proposed park plan, <br /> <br />Councilmember Larson stated that I-Iamline Avenue is closed at the Ingerson Avenue <br />intersection, <br /> <br />Councilmember Larson stated the Water Quality Task Force met recently to complete their <br />report which needs some editorial work, He added it will be presented to the Council when it is <br />completed, He noted the City newsletter will highlight the Task Force's work in an upcoming <br />Issue, <br /> <br />Councilmember Aplikowski stated the Ingerson group should be given a date for completion of <br />their work to provide them with some closure, Mayor Probst stated it has been his understanding <br />that the City will move forward and initiate some activity with or without the neighborhood's <br />input after a certain lcngth oftime, <br /> <br />Mr. Lynch stated the City Engineer was preparing a recommendation on a schedule to be <br />followed if the Ingerson project will be addressed in 200 I, or alternatively, a schedule for the <br />next area to be addressed, He added it was his understanding after the Council's last workshop <br />
