<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />SEPTEMBER 11, 2000 <br />7:00 P.M. - ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDERfROLL CALL <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor Dennis Probst called to order the regular <br />City Council meeting at 7:04 p,m. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Dennis Probst, Councilmembers Beverly Aplikowski, David Grant, <br />Gregg Larson, and Lois Rem. <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />None, <br /> <br />Also present were City Administrator, Joe Lynch; City Accountant, Terrance R. Post; <br />City Engineer, Greg Brown, BRW; City Planner, Jennifer Chaput; and Recording <br />Secretary, Lori Rolfson, <br /> <br />ADOPT AGENDA <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Councilmember Aplikowski moved and Councilmember Rem seconded a motion <br />to adopt the agenda for the September 11, 2000, regular City Council meeting, as <br />submitted. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst asked if Consent Calendar item 5c had been updated. Mr. Lynch stated that he has <br />not had an opportunity to update the language in Consent Calendar item 5c, <br /> <br />The motion carried unanimously (5,0). <br /> <br />2000 BUDGET AND PRELIMINARY LEVY DISCUSSION <br /> <br />Mr. Post stated that the City Council last reviewed the 2001 budget and preliminary levy at a <br />Council Worksession, Since that time, some events have occurred and one has not yet been <br />resolved, Mr. Post stated that the Council will be requested to adopt the preliminary levy and the <br />Truth in Taxation public hearing dates later this evening under Unfinished and New Business. <br />He indicated that he has identified some milestone items and he suggested that the Council adopt <br />the preliminary budget at their last meeting in September. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst requested confirmation that the only action required of the Council this evening <br />was to declare the maximum levy for this year, Mr. Post stated that the Council was being <br />requested to adopt the preliminary levy and the Truth in Taxation public hearing dates, Mr. Post <br />presented the 2001 budget/preliminary levy General Fund Revenues as follows: <br /> <br />A. <br /> <br />Adopted 2000 Total <br /> <br />$2,927,090 <br />
