August 28, 2000 Regular Council Meeting <br /> <br />Councilmember Larson requested the following changes: On page 3, second paragraph under <br />item A, last sentence, replace "his" with "its", On page four, third paragraph, fourth line, replace <br />"nlY'~ vvith "Staffs". <br /> <br />With rcgard to rccommendation number one in the motion on page five, Councilmember Larson <br />stated that he recalled that the City Council had not agreed with the Planning Commission's <br />recommendation. He indicated that the City Council had followed City Staffs recommendation <br />that they did not feel comfortable with providing administrative approval of the changes, The <br />City Council had wanted this issue to go back through the Planning Commission because of the <br />implications of the increased parking and office space, <br /> <br />Councilmember Ap1ikowski stated that she recalled that the City Council had asked Ms, Chaput <br />if she was comfortable with thc Planning Commission's recommendation, <br /> <br />Ms. Chaput offercd to review Staffs memorandum related to this issue. <br /> <br />. COlmcilmember Larson suggested that the audio tapes of the August 28'h mecting be reviewed to <br />determine whether the motion in the minutes was correct. <br /> <br />Councilmember Rem recalled that Ms, Chaput had asked tbat the Council not approve the <br />Planning Commission's recommendation and that the Council had agreed, <br /> <br />Councilmember Aplikowski stated that, with regard to the last sentence in the fourth paragraph <br />on page nine, she did not recall making the statement that the Valentine Park was not conducive <br />for an ice rink, She stated that she was not certain of her exact statement and asked that this <br />sentence be stricken from the minutes, She noted that the City Council had discussed the <br />relocation ofthe building and the reconstruction of the parking lot and she felt that her statement <br />may have been that the ice rink was not conducive to easy flooding of the ice rink. <br /> <br />Councilmember Rem requested the following changes: On page eight, last paragraph, change <br />the first sentence to read, "..,receivcd a copy of an e,mail from her to Mr. Lvnch with regard <br />to,.." On page nine first paragraph, change the first sentence to read, "She added she had <br />contacted Mr. Lynch with regard to,.." <br /> <br />Mayor Probst noted that on pages three and five of the minutes, corrcction bars indicating <br />necessary corrections had been left in the final draft ofthe minutcs, <br /> <br />. <br />
