Councilmember Larson asked whether this is considered confidential, and whether it is pending. <br /> Mr. Filla stated the City appealed the decision and requested an informational statement to be <br /> submitted by December I. Mayor Probst suggested the Council continue a closed session to <br /> discuss the matter at the close of the meeting. <br /> Councilmember Aplikowski requested that staff provide an updated code list from the Fire <br /> Department. <br /> Councilmember Aplikowski stated the Ramsey County League of Local Governments met <br /> recently at which a discussion was held with School Superintendents from surrounding areas. <br /> She encouraged Councilmembers to attend upcoming meetings of the League. <br /> Councilmember Aplikowski stated she would wish the City to provide funding for NLC <br /> membership if possible. She added that extremely helpful information is available through tbe <br /> NLC Mayor Probst stated the City has been a member in the past, and it could be discussed if <br /> someone on the Council would bc interested in representing the City. He added it is a financial <br /> issue as membership must be budgeted, <br /> Councilmember Rem stated the Cable Commission is producing anniversary videos for Little <br /> Canada and Falcon Heights, as well as programs on old City Halls, including the Arden Hills <br /> City Hall. <br /> . Councilmember Rem stated the Northwest Youth and Family Services has had a busy month <br /> with a Board meeting, Development Committee meeting, and a benefit at the Landmark Center <br /> in 8t. Paul which was very successful. <br /> Mayor Probst stated he had discussed the Cable Commission budget with Mr. Lynch, adding the <br /> Commission is digging into its reserve fund to balance the budget. He added the Council might <br /> want to discuss this at some point. <br /> Councilmember Larson stated he was unsure how an organization like the Cable Commission <br /> could have $24,000 in capital assets and $1,5 million in unrestricted net assets. <br /> Mayor Probst commended Mr. Stafford and his staff on a recent letter received from a resident <br /> commending them on their response to a problem. <br /> Mayor Probst referred to a note about the Fire Department's interested in moving TCAAP <br /> monies into their relief fund. He added this is not appropriate and will create an expectation with <br /> regard to future growth which is false. He noted there is an on-going argument with regard to <br /> those funds and how they should be used. <br /> Mayor Probst stated he was delighted that the ground breaking finally took place, adding he was <br /> . encouraged by the number of people who attended the event. <br /> ~ <br />
