-RPEN HILLS <br /> CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> RESOLUTION NO.2025-020 <br /> RESOLUTION RENAMING THE SECTION OF OLD HIGHWAY 8 <br /> BETWEEN COUNTY ROAD I WEST AND COUNTY ROAD H AS <br /> RICE CREEK PARKWAY <br /> WHEREAS,City Staff received a request from the Lake Johanna Fire Department to rename <br /> the section of Old Highway 8 to improve clarity for emergency responders; and <br /> WHEREAS, the section of Old Highway 8 requested to be renamed is the section that runs <br /> from the roundabout intersection with County Road I West to the north and south to the County Road <br /> H roundabout; and <br /> WHEREAS, renaming the road at this time will minimize the effects of address changes for <br /> future property owners once development is underway; and <br /> WHEREAS, the requested name change has been presented to current property owners, <br /> Ramsey County GIS and Mapping staff, Ramsey County Public Works, the Lake Johanna Fire <br /> Department, and the postal service to ensure a seamless transition; and <br /> WHEREAS,Ramsey County Public Works will provide updated street signs for this section <br /> of road. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF ARDEN HILLS: <br /> Hereby adopts Resolution 2025-020 approving that the section of Old Highway 8 that runs <br /> from its northern intersection with County Road I West south to the County Road H roundabout to <br /> be renamed Rice Creek Parkway. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Ramsey County and the Public Works Department <br /> effect the renaming of Old Highway 8 by changing all relevant street signs and city records as <br /> expeditiously as possible; <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> THIS LOTH DAY OF FEBRUARY 2025. <br /> David Grant,Mayor <br /> ATTES (�4 , <br /> Julie HansWn, Cite Clerk <br /> To view the final document,access adopted Resolutions via Arden Hills Public Laserfiche Weblink by visiting cityofardenhills.org and clicking on <br /> Archived Documents under Helpful Links on our main webpage. <br />
