J. Crepeau, Jr., Councilmen C. Crichton, S. Olmen, <br />J. Hollenhorst (8:55 p.m.> <br />Absent - R. Herrick <br />Also Present - Attorney J. Lynden, Engineer D. Lund, Treasurer R. <br />O'Kelly, Acting Clerk Administrator C. McNlesh and Deputy <br />Clerk D. Zohm. <br /> <br />. fu!proval of Minutes <br />The Minutes ot the Regular Council Meeting of March 26, 1973, In- <br />cluding the addendum, were approved as submitted. <br /> <br />BUSINESS FROM THE FLOOR <br /> <br />Beach 1m rovoment A Ilcatlon - Mr. Robert Beck <br />Mr. obert Beck, repr'esen ng St. Paulo go No.2, I.O.O.F., 1174 <br />Edgewater Avenue, presented an application tor beach Improvement to <br />the Councl!; stating that the Conservation Department requires Water- <br />shed District and Village permission before acting on the application. <br /> <br />Mr. Beck showed pictures of the shoreline and explained that they do <br />not Intend to make any changes In the shoreline, only to remove muck <br />in an area of about 40 feet a~ong the shore and about 50 teet out Into <br />the lake; replacing the muck !:lith sand; level of lake bottom to be <br />essontlal~y the ~am.; aiD to be done under direction of Department of <br />Natural Resources. <br /> <br />Afte.. dlscusslon,Crlchton moved, seconded by Olmen, that the Council <br />approve the bellch Improvement, In accordance with the application sub- <br />mitted, subject to approval of the Village. GrudnoskapresQnted a petition to the Council, signed by residents <br />8(1d h.ome owners o.f Round leke, opposing a walking path around Round <br />Lake, and requesting the Councl~ to OppOSEf It "when and It It should <br />cornell p". <br /> <br />Mr. Buck~ey, Village Parf<s Dlroctol", explained i'het he had met with <br />a group of residents ifl the Round Leke aroa re prospective park develop- <br />man~s In the Village, and had discussed tho possibility of Ramsey abunty <br />Open SpacG negotiating to obtain approximately 40 acres at the soutn <br />end of the iake ~or .passlvG park with lake access and a walking path <br />al"ound the lake; stating that the U. S. C~lchton moved that the Council Join the lawsuit <br />as "intorvenor Defendants", agr80lng to use the present attorneys In <br />tho ~Bwsult and accept their advice; authorizing Attorney Lynden to <br />notify AttornGY R. J. Schieffer and Attorney T. S. Hay that the Village <br />of Arden HI~~s desires to Join the lawsuit as ~ntervenor Defendent. <br />Motion was seconded by OUmon and carr!~d ~nanimously. <br /> <br />-8- <br />
