REPORT OF VILLAGE ENGINEER DONALD LUND <br /> New Brighton Sewer Interceptor <br /> Councilman Henderson and Engineer Roger Short reviewed past history <br /> of the subject. (Note: See letters, dated September 25, 1972 and <br /> Octobe I" 2, 1972 to the Arden HI lis Council from Karl Burendt, Metro <br /> Councl I,for detal I.) Mr. Short reported orally to the Council his <br /> suggeste~ method for most economically serving sewer to the area. <br /> Clerk Administrator Dennis Zylle, representing the Village of Mounds <br /> View, stated that Mounds View objects to New BrIghton trying to <br /> qualify their trunk sewer lines as an Interceptor sewer at toe expense <br /> of the rest of the sewer district No. 2. He requested Arden Hills to <br /> provide sewers to a part of the area. <br /> After further discussion, motion was made by Henderson, seconded by <br /> Hollenhorst, that Resolution No. 72-55 regarding sewer service be <br /> epprovsd; motion cerrled unanimously. <br /> Sewer Extension to 3272 North Snellln~ Avenue <br /> Engineer Lund reported that al I property owners except Mr. Johnston <br /> opposed extending a sewer line to serve property from the existing <br /> main up to 3272 North Snelling Avenue. This results In less than <br /> 20' of property owners favoring the project. <br /> MotIon was made by Hol!enhorst, seconded by Olmen, that the request <br /> for the sewer line extension be denied, because of leek of sufficient <br /> support on behalf of the residents concerned; motion carried unanimOUSly. <br /> Clerk Administrator to notify Mr. Johnston of the action and Imform <br /> him that the Council usually expects at least 35' of the property <br /> owners to request an improvement before a public hearlng Is scheduled. <br /> Grey Fox Roed and Dunlap Street <br /> Engineer Lund reported that Roberts Construction Co. Informed him that <br /> Dun I ap Street and Grey Fox Road have been surfaced to meet Vi II age <br /> standards. Clerk Administrator to get s letter from their contractor, <br /> Schlfsky Bros., stating that the work hos been done; when such I ette I" <br /> I s on 1 I Ie, Benlster Engineering authorized to eo~ the street surface <br /> . to determine standard. <br /> County-Municipal Meetings <br /> Engineer Christoffersen reported attendance during the past three <br /> months at meetings called by the Ramsey County Engineer's office to <br /> discuss mutual municipal and county problems and projects. He felt <br /> that the meetings have value, but, In some cases, the subjects would <br /> be of more Interest to VI liege maintenance people than to engineering. <br /> Mr; Christoffersen stated he would probably continue to attend, but <br /> would not bll~ the Village 161" such attendance.
