Page 2 of 2 <br />The City agrees to expend the grant funding in compliance with MN Statute 469.10 which states <br />that “gross proceeds from any tax imposed shall be used for the purpose of marketing and <br />promoting the City as a tourist or convention center” and <br /> <br />Whereas the Bureau has specified that grant funds must be used for advertising, marketing, and <br />promotional efforts to increase participation, attendance, or visitation to an event, activity, or <br />facility located within the City, and / or to add new activities to enhance existing events, and <br /> <br />Whereas the Bureau specifies that advertising, marketing, and promotional efforts for which said <br />grant funding is used must extend beyond the borders, or boundaries of the City. <br /> <br />Budget Impact <br /> <br />N/A <br /> <br />Attachment <br /> <br />N/A
