<br /> ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL - NOVEMBER 10. 1997 19 <br />. looking at the easements necessary to do the utility work and that issue should be resolved <br /> shortly, <br /> Mr. Fritsinger reported on utility work which has started and is moving forward. <br /> COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> Councilmember Hicks provided an update with regard to fee title on Lindey's triangular pieces <br /> of property, He advised that he had asked Tom Mulcahy to provide an opinion to the City. Mr. <br /> Fritsinger stated he had spoken with the City Attorney and Parks and Recreation Director about <br /> this and recommends a conversation among all parties, <br /> Councilmember Hicks reported that he is unable to attend the Northwest Youth and Family <br /> Services meeting this week. <br /> Councilmember Malone stated the Lake Johanna Volunteer Fire Department will meet to discuss <br /> if they should increase their benefits. He provided an update regarding this issue and urged <br /> caution so the City is not responsible for making up the difference, Councilmember Hicks <br /> requested Council direction. <br /> Mayor Probst stated this is an issue for contract discussion. Councilmember Malone concurred, <br />. Mayor Probst supported as high a limit as possible to better protect the City. <br /> Councilmember Aplikowski indicated support up to 95 percent and no lower than 90 percent. <br /> The Council concurred, <br /> Councilmember Aplikowski stated she is glad to see progress made with Ryder Truck and the <br /> proposed Arden Hills signage. <br /> Councilmember Aplikowski stated she spoke with Highway 10 residents about their concern <br /> with the North Heights Lutheran Church development and the problem of parking lot lights <br /> shining into the new development. <br /> Councilmember Aplikowski reported that a resident approached her stating they feel bad that the <br /> City is treating the Nixon family so rough, to which she provided an explanation ofthe City's <br /> position. <br /> Councilmember Keirn asked if all need to be present next Monday in case she is absent. Mr. <br /> Fritsinger stated only a majority vote is needed, <br /> Mayor Probst reported on the facilities survey done in the Mounds View School District <br /> regarding athletic facilities and suggested discussion be held at the November 24 meeting <br /> regarding Arden Hills taking the lead on TCAAP with other cities participating in the cost. <br />. Mr, Fritsinger stated in addition to other cities, Ms. Walsh is meeting with the Athletic <br /> Association to see if they will also participate. They have also talked about the cost and estimate <br /> it will cost $2,000 to $3,000 to prepare a design; not a large investment by anyone party. <br />
