MINUTES CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING JANUARY 20, 1998 4:45 P.M. - ARMY RESERVE CENTER CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Acting Mayor, Dale Hicks, called to order the special City Council meeting at 4:50 p,m, Present: Councilmembers Beverly Aplikowski and Paul Malone, with Councilmember Susan Keim arriving at 4:52 p,m, Mayor Probst was not present. Also present were City Administrator, Brian Fritsinger; Community Development Director, Kevin Ringwald; Public Works Superintendent, Dwayne Staflord; Parks and Recreation Director, Cindy Walsh; and Administrative Secretary, Sheila StowelL ADOPT AGENDA ~ City Administrator Fritsinger advised Councilmembers that the Bond Issue, for which the Special Council meeting was originally scheduled, had been delayed due to the Welsh timetable, MOTION: Councilmember Malone moved and Councilmember Aplikowski seconded a motion to adopt the agenda for the January 20, 1998, Special City Council meeting as presented, The motion carried unanimously (3-0), CONSENT CALENDAR A. Claims and Payroll City Administrator Fritsinger provided a bench handout of a revised Claims Report, reducing the total amount of claims submitted in the Council packet from $241,909,11 to $241,680.11, due to a reduction in Check No, 13418 for a fee to the Minnesota Department of Health, MOTION: Councilmember Malone moved and Councilmember Aplikowski seconded a motion to approve the Consent Calendar as submitted and autborize execution of all necessary documents contained therein, The motion carried unanimously (3- 0), MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTS COlillcilmember Malone inquired of staff on the status of the City's current bond rating, . City Administrator Fritsinger responded that, in ongoing conversations between Standard and Poors and City staff, the City's bond rating was still certified, Mr, Fritsinger stated, however,
