CONSENT ITEM - 8E <br />-ARVE_-HILLS <br />MEMORANDUM <br />DATE: May 12, 2025 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br />Jessica Jagoe, City Administrator <br />FROM: Matthew Johnson, Recreation Supervisor <br />SUBJECT: Accepting Donation of door prizes from Bethel University and Kerri Seemann <br />Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br />N/A —$400 N/A <br />Council Should Consider <br />Motions to approve, table, or deny the following: <br />• City Council should consider approving Resolution 2025-041 Accepting Donations from <br />Bethel University and Kerri Seemann. <br />Background <br />These donations were offered in response to a new special event called Summer Passport, a free <br />program designed to get participants to visit all of the Arden Hills parks throughout the summer. <br />Participants will receive a map with letters to decrypt, and once finished, they will return their <br />finished puzzle and receive a door prize. <br />Discussion <br />Bethel University has agreed to donate 100 water bottles (cash value $250), and Kerri Seemann <br />has agreed to donate native plants (cash value $150) as door prizes for this event.
