CONSENT ITEM - 8F <br />-ADEN HILLS <br />MEMORANDUM <br />DATE: May 12, 2025 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br />FROM: Jessica Jagoe, City Administrator <br />SUBJECT: Hue Life Consulting Service Agreement - Strategic Planning <br />Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br />$10,000 $14,000 General Fund -Council <br />Council Should Consider <br />• Accepting the proposal for consulting services from Hue Life in the amount not -to - <br />exceed of $14,000 for strategic planning services. <br />Background <br />At the April 14 Work Session, the City Council discussed Strategic Goal setting as a priority and <br />engaging with a consultant to facilitate this process. Council reviewed the scope of services <br />from two consultant firms with differing approaches for facilitating strategic planning. There <br />was consensus to move forward with the proposal by Hue Life as it aligned with the desired <br />outcomes to create a tool that could be used for goal setting, planning, and budgeting purposes <br />(Attachment A). Direction was given to Staff to coordinate the scheduling of future strategic <br />planning sessions. <br />Hue Life has a focus aimed at organizational strategic planning services that is intended to: <br />• Develop a 3-year shared vision of success. <br />• Establish clear goals and objectives for the next 2-3 years. <br />• Identify Strategic Initiatives for year 1. <br />From these strategic planning sessions, the City will receive a summary of key findings, <br />objectives, goals and action plans for implementation steps. Their approach includes initial data <br />collection, facilitation of three 3-4 hour workshop planning sessions with Council and Staff, and <br />preparation of a final report for an amount not to exceed $14,000 (pricing fluctuates based on <br />contracted hours of service within Phases 1 and 3). <br />Page l of 2 <br />
