ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION — APRIL 14, 2025 23 <br />Public Works Director/City Engineer Swearingen said that he had MN Dot include the chain <br />link fence along the entire right-of-way, at their cost. The $15,000 that was earmarked for that <br />barrier is up for discussion. Council could also choose to direct those funds to general park <br />improvements. <br />Mayor Grant asked what the agreement regarding that money was. <br />Public Works Director/City Engineer Swearingen said it must go toward a parks improvement. <br />Mayor Grant asked if we have automatic lights at Freeway Park. <br />Public Works Director/City Engineer Swearingen said the only one we have is at Cummings. <br />Mayor Grant said that would be a park improvement. <br />Public Works Director/City Engineer Swearingen agreed. He asked if Council would like him <br />to bring this back to a later work session. He thinks the PTRC has made recommendations in the <br />past. <br />Councilmember Rousseau said Recreation Supervisor Johnson can ask the PTRC at <br />tomorrow's meeting. <br />Mayor Grant said that would be fine.
