Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office <br />Contract Law Enforcement & Public Safety Services <br />Budget Addendum: Flock Safety Cameras <br />Minnesota state law requires every law enforcement agency utilizing license plate readers to “arrange for <br />an independent, biennial audit.” This is to ensure compliance with statutory requirements. All data is <br />managed in accordance with state law and independently audited. <br />Fiscal Impact <br />The total of this budget addendum is $41,500, of <br />which $28,500 is charged to the Contract <br />Communities. The attached provides financing <br />details. <br />•Costs are proposed to be allocated following <br />the patrol allocation used as part of the <br />Contract Communities budget. <br />•In 2025, charges are pro-rated by the vendor <br />and include a Sheriff’s Office contribution for <br />installation. <br />•For long term fiscal planning, projected costs include a minimal increase each year and an <br />anticipated increase in the number of cameras each year starting in 2027. <br />Approval <br />A motion was made for approval and recorded as follows: <br />Community Yes No <br />Arden Hills <br />Little Canada <br />North Oaks <br />Shoreview <br />Vadnais Heights <br />White Bear Township <br />Updated: 4/20/2025 <br />2
