Pavement Core Results <br />We performed pavement coring and hand auger borings at 23 locations along the various roads, as <br />shown in the sketch in the Appendix. HABs were also performed through the aggregate base layer and <br />into the shallow subgrade in core locations. <br />The pavement cores and HABs were used to measure pavement layer thicknesses for the bituminous and <br />aggregate base layers, to assess bituminous conditions, and determine the shallow subgrade soil type. <br />The results are presented below. <br />We did not perform gradation analysis on the apparent aggregate base material encountered as part of <br />the pavement section, in accordance with our scope of work. Therefore, we cannot conclusively <br />determine if the encountered material satisfies a particular specification. <br />Table 2.
