<br />'. . - <br />" -- f <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />< <br /> <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br />V i II age of Arden Hi lis <br />Friday, January 2, 1981 - 5:00 p.m. <br />Village Hall <br /> <br />Call to Order <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting was called <br />to order by Mayor Crepeau at 5:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Present - Mayor Henry J. Crepeau, Jr., Councilmen Charlie Crichton, <br />Robert Woodburn. <br />Also Present - Councilmen-elect Janet Hollenhorst and Diane <br />MeAl lister, Treasurer DonaJd Lamb and Clerk Administrator <br />Charlotte McNlesh. <br /> <br />Oaths of Office - Councilmen <br />Mayor Crepeau administered oaths of office for Counci I~en to <br />Janet Hollenhorst and Diane MeAl lister. <br /> <br />Resignation - Councilman Charlie Crichton <br />Mayor Crepeau read the letter from Councilm~n Crichton (12/31/80) <br />resigning his position as Councilman in order to be sworn In as <br />Mayor. <br /> <br />Resolution No. 81-1, Accepting Resignation and Declaring Vacancy as <br />Counc i I man <br />Woodburn moved, seconded by Crichton, that Council approve Reso- <br />lution No. 81-I.ACKNOWLEDGING RECEIPT AND ACCEPTANCE Of RESIGNA- <br />TION OF COUNCILMAN CHARLIE CRICHTON AND DECLARING THAT A VACANCY EXISTS <br />AS COUNCILMAN. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Oath of Office - Mayor <br />Mayor Crepeau administered the oath of office for Mayor to Charlie <br />Crichton. <br /> <br />Resolution No. 61-2, Appointing Councilman to Fill Unexpired Term <br />Mayor Crichton submitted the names of Ward Hanson, Maurice Johnson <br />and Jeanne Winiecki for Counci I consideration as Councilman. <br />Woodburn noted that the Vi Ilage would be well served by anyone of <br />these, al I have outstanding qualifications and have served the <br />Vi Ilage in various capacities. Council concurred. <br /> <br />MeAl I ister moved, seconded by Woodburn, that Councl I approve <br />Resolution No. 81-2, APPOINTING MAURICE JOHNSON AS COUNCJLMAN TO <br />FILL THE UNEXPIRED TERI~ (UNTIL DECEMBER 31,1982). Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />1981 Appointments <br />Mayor Crichton submitted list of 1981 Appointments for consultants, <br />inspectors, Clerk Administrator, Deputy Clerk, etc. <br /> <br />Woodburn moved, seconded by McAllister, that Counci I approve the <br />appointments as submitted. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Crichton submitted list of 1981 appointments for Acting Mayor, <br />Treasurer, Deputy Treasurer, Council liaison and Committee Chairmen. <br /> <br />Woodburn moved, seconded by <br />appointments as submitted. <br /> <br />McAllister, that Counci I approve <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />Mayor Crichton submitted a list of 1981 Committee Appointments. <br />In discussion. list was corrected as follows: <br /> <br />Charlotte Swank should bo appointed to Newsletter Committee, <br />Cal Maury to be regular Planning Commission member In lieu of <br />1st alternate, Michelle Pierce Is unabie to serve on PublIc <br />Safety Committee In 1981. <br /> <br />Hollenhorst moved, seconded <br />appointments as corrected. <br />favor, MeAl lister, Woodburn <br /> <br />by Woodburn, that Councl I approve the <br />Motion did not carry (Hollenhorst in <br />and Crichton opposed). <br /> <br />McAllister moved. seconded by Woodburn, that Councl I approve the <br />appointments as corrected excluding the Newsletter Committee. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />
