<br />~ <br /> <br />Minutes of Regulsr Council Meeting <br />Village of Arden Hills <br />Monday, September 8, 1980 - 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Call to Order <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor Crepeau called the meeting <br />to order at 7:30 p.m, <br /> <br />Roll Call <br /> <br />Present - <br /> <br />Mayor Henry J. Crepeau, Jr., Councilmen <br />James Wingert, ~ Crichton, Robert <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Ward Hanson, <br />Woodburn. <br /> <br />Absent - <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Also Present - Engineer Donald Christoffersen, Attorney James Lynd~", <br />Treasurer Donald Lamb, Planner Orlyn Miller, Clerk <br />Administrator Charlotte McNiesh. DeDutv Clerk Dorothy <br />Zehm. <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br />Hanson moved. seconded by Crichton that Council approve the Minutes of <br />the August 25th Regular and Special Council meetings as amended. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Business from the Floor <br />None <br /> <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE ENGINEER DONALD CHRISTOFFERSEN <br /> <br />Feasibility Report - Improvement SSW 80-2, lenna Addition - Resolution <br />No. 80-45. Ordering Preparation of Plans and Specifications. <br />Council was referred to Feasibility Report - Improvement SS W 80-2 and <br />to letter from John J. Kenna requesting Council to proceed with the <br />improvement. Possible alternate sewer connections were queried relative <br />to saving of existing trees. <br /> <br />Wingert moved, seconded by Woodburn, that Council adopt Resolution No. <br />80-45, ORDERING PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS. . Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Lexington Avenue/I-694 Drainage - Status Report <br />Chriatoffersen reported that the county plans to proceed with Lexington <br />Ave. construction to County Road F in 1981; storm drainage question <br />remaina to be resolved. Christoffersen said his report is ready for final <br />printing; suggested a joint meeting with Shoreview and subsequently the <br />scheduling of a public hearing in October 1980. Christoffersen said he'd <br />like the aurvey work completed before winter: desires to have plans ready <br />for bid in February or March 1981. <br /> <br />Council concurred that a copy of the Engineer's report be forwarded to <br />Shoreview, and that McNiesh schedule a joint Shoreview/Arden Hills meeting <br />regarding the storm drainage report; suggested date - September 22nd. <br /> <br />Inflow/Infiltration <br />Christoffersen reported that the analysis has started; will schedule a <br />~ meeting with Woodburn regarding pro.reas to date. <br /> <br />County Road E - Improvement Plans and Specifications <br />Chriatoffersen reported that the city will be required to pay a $3,975 <br />deposit to NSP for the underground electric plans and specificationa: <br />deposit will be deducted from total cost of project. <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 215. Regulating Signs in Arden Hills - Public Hearing <br />Mayor Crepeau opened the public hesring at 8:30 p.m.:explained that the <br />proposed ordinance has been prepared by the Sign Ordinance Committee of <br />the Planning Commission and represents a comprehensive amendment to <br />Ordinance No. 76 the current Sign Ordinance. Crepeau reported that the <br />Planning Commis81on has recommended Council approval of the Ordinance. <br />
