McNiesh was asked to contact New Brighton. <br /> <br />Animal Pound Agreement and Resolution No. 80-6,_Fee Schedule <br />for Animal Control <br />A - Animar-P;;nd Contract <br />Council waa re{erred to ce-draft of the Animal Pound Contract <br />which reflects the amended fees charged by Brighton Veterinary <br />Clinic. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Hanson moved, seconded by Wingert, that Council approve the <br />Animal Pound Contract and authorize its execution or behalf <br />of the City. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />It was noted by Crichton that the Contract (#6)state8 "7 days" <br />for owner to reclaim an animal, conflicting with Section 5-59 <br />of the City Code wh:l,ch says' dogs IUllY be redeemed by owner within <br />"5 days"; suggested this should ~robably be changed or clar- <br />ified in the City Code upon amendment thereof. (City has been <br />interpreting this to mean 5 business days.) <br /> <br />B - Resolution No. 80-6 <br />Hansoa moved that Couacil adopt Rsaulution No. 80-6, RESOLUTION <br />ESTABLISHING FEES FOR ANIMAL CONTROL. Motion was seconded by <br />IJlngert. <br /> <br />In diSCUSSion, Crichton suggested that the Resolution should <br />only :\,nclude fN,a established that citizen would be charged to <br />claim his dog (not fe~8 cbarged to Ctty); noted that the City <br />Code does Dot E.nable .:ity to incarcerate animals, otber than <br />dogs.
