What happens if an individual submits a data request to RCSO for a license plate # that <br />would have been photographed on a Flock camera? Is that subject to public access to <br />these records? <br />o This request would be handled according to Statute. <br />• Are there other RCSO-owned LPR cameras that are not part of the contract group? <br />o Fixed license plate readers must be reported to the state of MN and is posted on <br />the DPS website - Agencies that use License Plate Readers (LPR) I Minnesota <br />Department of Public Safety. <br />The Council is being asked to consider the implementation of LPR cameras as a budget <br />amendment for 2025 so that installation could begin mid -summer. Flock contract/lease rates <br />would be prorated for this year. At the May 12th Work Session, the City Council scheduled a <br />Special Regular Meeting on May 281h to take the necessary action on the budget amendment <br />request from RCSO for Flock LPR cameras. <br />Budget Impact <br />For 2025, the City would need to approve a budget amendment for our prorated cost share of <br />$4,183.80, which would be brought back to the Council at a future meeting.
