<br /> MINUTES <br /> CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA <br /> WORKSESSION CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> . NOVEMBER 16, 1992 <br /> 4:30 p.m. - CITY HALL <br /> CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor Sather called to order the Worksession <br /> City Council meeting at 4:30 p.m. Present: Mayor Sather, Councilmembers Paul <br /> Malone, Dale Hicks, JoAnn Growe and Thomas Mahowald, and Councilmember-Elect <br /> Beverly Aplikowski. Absent: Councilmembers Dale Hicks and JoAnn Growe. Also <br /> present were: Clerk Administrator, Dorothy Person; Deputy Clerk, Cathy Iago; Public <br /> Works Superintendent, Dan Winkel; City Accountant, Terry Post; Parks Director, John <br /> Buckley; Attorney, Jerry Filla; Engineer, Terry Maurer; Planner, John Bergly.; <br /> Malone moved, seconded by Sather to delete Item 3. Approval of November 4, Special <br /> Council Meeting Minutes until the next regular City Council meeting of November 30, <br /> 1993. All voted in favor. (5-0). <br /> Discussion was held regarding storm water utility options; options and legal implications, <br /> identification of potential projects and costs, effect of future development, and <br /> implementation items and timelines. <br /> . Engineer Maurer indicated he would have draft preliminary figures of the storm water <br /> utility available for the first meeting in December (December 14, 1992). <br /> A review of current costs for 1993 was conducted of independent contractors and <br /> services. Action regarding appointment is made at the organizational Council meeting <br /> (first meeting in January). <br /> City Accountant, Terry Post updated the Mayor and Council on the 1992 Budget. <br /> A review of possible activities for Arden Hills 1993 Winter Festival and budget <br /> implications was discussed. Further request was made for a longer term festival planning <br /> with City actively pursuing this. <br /> Discussion was held on approving the execution of a contract for services for City Hall <br /> cleaning - Coverall at $30.00 per week. The budget is based on $35.00 per week. <br /> Council recommended placing this item on the Consent Calendar of November 30, 1992. <br /> Mayor Sather updated the City Council on St. Paul Turner's Charitable Gambling issues. <br /> Turner's new owners are working toward fulfilling its obligations to the City. <br /> ADJOURN <br /> . MOTION: Mayor Sather moved, seconded by Malone, to adjourn the meeting at 5:45 <br /> p.m. Motion carried unanimously.
