Tree and Miscellaneous Watering 320 FTE labor hours required; 2 FTEs required High priority. Tree watering is completed with tree bags during the first 2-3 years after planting. New trees that were planted in 2022 and 2024 will receive tree bags and will be fertilized on a routine basis throughout the growing season. The majority of new trees were planted in Cummings and Floral Parks and along Highway 967. The tanker truck will be used in an effort to establish grass within PW project areas where restoration was completed all divisions.. Other park plantings may also be watered using the tanker truck depending on seasonal rainfall. Newly planted trees that were planted in 2024 and are still under warranty will be inspected and replaced as PW staff and the contractor agree as warrantee work. Tree Mulching 60 FTE labor hours required; 2 FTEs required Medium priority. Top dressing will be applied around all trees located along Highway 96 and within the ROW between Highway 10 and Lexington Ave (per direction from the City Council in 2022). The Lakeshore Place trees and shrubs now also includes mulching annually. Rough Mowing — Easement Clearing Areas 280 FTE labor hours required; 2 FTEs required Medium priority. Create brush clearing map for easements and City -owned property to be completed, as needed, with the Mini X or Altoz brush mowers. This map will be used by the operator as direction in the field annually. The map should identify mowing frequency, boundaries, and track the last time mowed. Trail/Park Tree Trimming and Diseased/Hazard Tree Removal 300 FTE labor hours estimated; 3 FTEs required Medium Priority. This work will be focused on Arden View Dr. trail, Floral Park, Hazelnut Park, Freeway Park, and Arden Oaks Park. All stumps located in green/mowed spaces will be ground and restored. A tree contractor will remove trees larger than 12" in diameter.
