<br />, <br /> <br />Minutes of Regular Council Meeting <br />Village of Arden Hills <br />Monday, September 26, 1983 - 7:30 p.m. <br />Village Hall <br /> <br />Call to Order <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor Woodburn called the <br />meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Present - <br /> <br />Mayor Robert Woodburn, Councilmen Thomas Mulcahy <br />Michael Christiansen, Diane McAllister, Dale Hicks <br /> <br />Absent - <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Also Presen.t - Treasurer Donald Lamb, Public Works Supervisor Bud <br />Johansen,. Clerk Administrator Charlotte McNiesh, <br />Deputy Clerk Dorothy Zehm. <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />Hicks moved, seconded by McAllister that the Minutes of the Regular <br />Council Meeting of September 12th be approved as submitted. <br />Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> <br />Business from the Floor <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />REPORT OF PUBLIC WORK SUPERVISOR BUD JOHANSEN <br /> <br />Bids for Truck and Plow <br /> <br />Council was referred to Johansen's memo (9-20-83) relative to <br />Truck and Equipment Bids received. <br /> <br />After discussion, Christiansen moved, seconded by Hicks, that <br />Council accept the Boyer Ford bid in the amount of $36,466.00, and <br />the Macqueen Equipment bid in the amount of $14,496.00, for <br />delivery in 1984. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> <br />Bids for Repair of Public Works Building Roof <br /> <br />Council was refer~ed to Johansen's memo (9-20-83 and 9-23-83) re <br />two bids received. Johansen reported that both companies will use <br />the same materials; All Weather Roof will guarantee work for 3 <br />years, Keehn Brothers will guarantee the work for 10 years. <br /> <br />After discussion, Hicks moved, seconded by Christiansen, that <br />Council award the bid to Keehn Brothers in the amount of $8900.00. <br />Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />O.J.T. Student Approval <br /> <br />Council was referred to Johansen's memo of 9-22-83 recommending <br />the employment of Steve Kriz as the O.J.T. S~udent Employee during <br />the 83-84 school year. <br /> <br />Christiansen moved, seconded by Mulcahy, that Council authorize <br />the employment of Steve Kriz, as per memo of 9-22-83, at $3.50 per <br />hour. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> <br />Leaf Disposal Site - Status Report <br /> <br />Johansen reported that the City's work is completed; noted that the <br />Town Crier will advertise the opening for a person to "man the site" <br />for the approximate 54 hours the site will be open. <br />
