Absent - Councilmen ~1lchael Christiansen, Diane McAl1 ister Also Present - Engineers Donald Christoffersen and Michael Kraemer, Clerk Administrator Charlotte McNiesh Business from the Floor None REPORT OF VILLAGE ENGINEER DONALD CHRISTOFFERSEN Resolution No. 83-31, Awarding Bid for Impr. No. 83-31 Christoffersen reported that eleven contractors submitted bids, ranging from $103,235.50 to $127,256.00. Low bidder was Hydrocon, Inc., North Branch, MN. Hicks asked If the engineer was satisfied with the qualifi- cations of the low bidder. Christoffersen said he has not worked with the company, but checked with bonding company, former employers and associates. He feels that Hydrocon has the experience and financial capabi I ity and recommends Counci accept the bi ds and award contract to Hydrocon, Inc. for $103,235.50. McNiesh reported she has reviewed a letter from Mr. O'Meara stating that he has reviewed the bids and requests the City to award the bid to the low bidder. Hicks moved, seconded by Mulcahy, that Counci I approve Resolution No. 83-31, AWARDING BID FOR IMPROVEMENT NO. SS-W-P-ST 83-3 td low bidder for $103,235.50. Motion carried unanimously. (3-0) O'Meara Bond McNiesh reported that the Development Agreement has been executed; developer's bond for grading has not been received. Christoffersen said the grading has been completed; sug- gested that Counci I might want to consider relaxing the re- quirement for the bond; would like to review the site to be sure grades are In order. . Hicks moved, seconded by Mulcahy, that the Development Agree- ment requirement for a Developer's bond be relaxed, subject to City Engineer's review of site and approval of grading. Motion carried unanimously. (3-0) REPORT OF VILLAGE CLERK ADMINISTRATOR CHARLOTTE McNIESH Payroll Mulcahy moved, seconded by Hicks, that Payrol I. Motion carried unanimously. Counci I approve the ( 3-0) Brighton Veterinary Hospital McNiesh reviewed the letter of 5/27/83 concerning Parvo Virus, a highly contagious disease in dogs, suggesting that Counci I app rove a fee of $1.00 for Parvo Virus vacc I nat i on. (Fee of .50 for unclaimed dogs). Hicks moved, seconded by Mulcahy, that Counci I approve the vaccination fee for Parvo Virus as outlined. Motion carried unanimously. (3-0)
