No. 83-31 <br />Christoffersen reported that eleven contractors submitted <br />bids, ranging from $103,235.50 to $127,256.00. Low bidder <br />was Hydrocon, Inc., North Branch, MN. <br /> <br />Hicks asked If the engineer was satisfied with the qualifi- <br />cations of the low bidder. Christoffersen said he has not <br />worked with the company, but checked with bonding company, <br />former employers and associates. He feels that Hydrocon has <br />the experience and financial capabi I ity and recommends Counci <br />accept the bi ds and award contract to Hydrocon, Inc. for <br />$103,235.50. <br /> <br />McNiesh reported she has reviewed a letter from Mr. O'Meara <br />stating that he has reviewed the bids and requests the City <br />to award the bid to the low bidder. <br /> <br />Hicks moved, seconded by Mulcahy, that Counci I approve <br />Resolution No. 83-31, AWARDING BID FOR IMPROVEMENT NO. <br />SS-W-P-ST 83-3 td low bidder for $103,235.50. Motion carried <br />unanimously. (3-0) <br /> <br />O'Meara Bond <br />McNiesh reported that the Development Agreement has been <br />executed; developer's bond for grading has not been received. <br />Christoffersen said the grading has been completed; sug- <br />gested that Counci I might want to consider relaxing the re- <br />quirement for the bond; would like to review the site to be <br />sure grades are In order. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Hicks moved, seconded by Mulcahy, that the Development Agree- <br />ment requirement for a Developer's bond be relaxed, subject <br />to City Engineer's review of site and approval of grading. <br />Motion carried unanimously. (3-0) <br /> <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE CLERK ADMINISTRATOR CHARLOTTE McNIESH <br /> <br />Payroll <br />Mulcahy moved, seconded by Hicks, that <br />Payrol I. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Counci I approve the <br />( 3-0) <br /> <br />Brighton Veterinary Hospital <br />McNiesh reviewed the letter of 5/27/83 concerning Parvo Virus, <br />a highly contagious disease in dogs, suggesting that Counci I <br />app rove a fee of $1.00 for Parvo Virus vacc I nat i on. (Fee of <br />.50 for unclaimed dogs). <br /> <br />Hicks moved, seconded by Mulcahy, that Counci I approve the <br />vaccination fee for Parvo Virus as outlined. Motion carried <br />unanimously. (3-0) <br />
