Uniform Fire Code <br /> Council was referred to draft of proposed ordinance, adopting <br /> the Fire Code, prepared by Attorney Lynden In 1976, but not <br /> adopted. <br /> After discussion, In which It was noted that the Fire Contract <br /> states that each contracting cl ty will adopt the Un I form Fire <br /> Code, Council concurred that Fire Ch I e f Koch be Invited to meet <br /> with Council to detail the active enforcement of the Code by <br /> LJVFD, fees charged for Inspections, reason s for adoption of <br /> the Code by A rde n HIli s, etc. <br /> Approval of Pa rks and Recreation Winter Program <br /> Hicks moved, seconded by Mulcahy, that Council approve the Winter <br /> Prog ram as proposed (attachment to Minutes of Parks and Recreation <br /> Committee of 11-9-82). Motion carried un an I mous I y . ( 5-0) <br /> App rova I of Additional Instructors - Fa II Junior Mustang Basketball <br /> Mulcahy moved, seconded by McAllister, that Council approve the <br /> hiring of two additional Jr. Mustang Basketbal I Instructors as <br /> II sted In Buckley's memo of I 1-15 -82 @ $4.25/hour. Motion carried <br /> unan Imous Iy. (5-0) . <br /> Public Safety Committee Recommendations: <br /> Reflectorlzed Sign - Harriet/Pine Tree Drive <br /> Counci I was re fe rred to recommendation of Public Safety Com- <br /> mittee that a reflectorlzed sign be Installed at PI ne Tree Dr. <br /> and Harriet Avenue Indicating the curve, and to a reflectorlzed <br /> sign that the Public WorkS Department has I n stock. <br /> After discussion, It was the concensus of Council that the <br /> sign be Installed for the benefit of west-bound Harriet Avenue <br /> traffic - a second sign for south-bound Pine Tree Drive traffic <br /> to be considered later. <br /> Sto S I ns - Glenvlew Avenue/Glenvlew Court Cr stal Avenue/ <br /> Falrvlew Avenue an d alent ne Avenue Va I ent I ne Court <br /> Johnson moved, seconded by Hicks, that Counc I I concur with <br /> the Public Safety Committee's recommendation that the exis- <br /> ting stop signs rema In at the three Intersections. Beverly Apllkowskl, 1742 Gramsle Road, requested that Council con- <br /> sider the Installation of a stop sign at Gramsle Road and Falrvlew <br /> (south side of Falrvlew at Gramsie Road) to control traffic speed <br /> and potential for accl dents at this I ntersect I on. <br /> After discussion, Council suggested that Mrs. Aplikowski obtain <br /> I ette rs from a.re a residents In support of the proposed stop sign. <br /> Counci I referred the request to the Public Safety Committee for <br /> Its consideration at Its January meeting. <br /> -5- <br /> ,. <br /> . <br />
