Absent - None. <br /> Also Present - Clerk Administrator Charlotte McNlesh. <br /> Business from the Floor <br /> None. <br /> I 982 City Election <br /> Following review of the attached statement of results of the <br /> canvass of votes cast at the November 2nd election, McAllister .' <br /> moved, seconded by Mulcahy, to accept the election report and <br /> declare Robert L. Woodburn elected Mayor for a two-year term, <br /> Michael E. ChrIstiansen and Dale R. Hicks elected Councilmen <br /> for four year terms and Thomas R. Mulcahy elected Councilman <br /> to f I II the unexpIred term ending December 31, 1984. Motion <br /> carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> Resolution No. 82 -59 - Installation of Dr. Brushaber as <br /> President of Bethel Co I lege <br /> Hicks move d , seconded by Johnson, that Council approve Resolu- <br /> tion No. 82-59. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> Request for Special Event Sign - Pizza Hut <br /> In the discussion, Council expressed concerns about setting a <br /> precedent If the promotional ban ne r Is approved; banners <br /> might not be wel I maintained, aesthetic effect If a number of <br /> businesses were simultaneously displaying banners. <br /> Hicks moved, seconded by Mulcahy, that Councl I approve the <br /> Special Event Banner for the Pizza Hut E.T. Glassware promotion <br /> for 30 days, banner not to project above facade and to be <br /> maintained In good cond It j on. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> (5-0 ) <br /> Youth Service Bureau - Board of Directors <br /> Mayor Woodburn reported that Don Severson requested that a <br /> mature Junior or senior be appointed to represent Mounds View <br /> High School on the Youth Service Bureau Board of 01 rectors. <br /> Council concurred that the request be publicized in the next <br /> Town Crier, interested students to contact the Village office. <br /> CI vi I Defense Siren <br /> -. Johnson reported that the new clvi I defense siren was heard <br /> very clearly at severa I locations on November 3rd. Hicks re- <br /> ported that he thought he had heard a siren at 1:00 a.m. and <br /> again at 5:00 a.m. on November 3rd. <br /> Adjournment <br /> Johnson moved, seconded by Hicks, that the meeting adjourn at <br /> 6:02 p.m. Motion carried unanimously.
