Concern was expressed relative to the City's inability <br />to obtain "success data" from the Youth Service Bureau. Also <br />noted were strong recommendations from the various city committees <br />and individuals that Arden Hills support the Youth Service Bureau. <br /> <br />After discussion, Mulcaby moved, seconded by Hicks that Council <br />adopt the 1983 Budget as proposed by the Finance Committee. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Johnson moved, seconded by McAllister, to amend the motion to <br />include the funding of the Youth Service Bureau in the 1983 Bud- <br />get. Motion carried unanimously (5-0). <br /> <br />Resolution No. 82-52, Approving Sums of Money to be Levied for <br />Levy Year 1982, Payable in 1983, and Amending Levy on 1972 <br />Improvement Bonds Series 2 and 1977 General Obligation Refund- <br />ing Bonds <br />Mulcahy moved, seconded by McAllister, that Council approve Res- <br />olution No. 82-52. Motion carried unanimously (5-0). <br /> <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE TREASURER DONALD LAMB <br /> <br />Investments <br />9-20-82 - $216,530.77 at Northwestern National Bank of St. Paul <br />maturing 4-18-83 at 10.75% interest <br /> <br />9-27-82 - $100,000.00 at Midwest Federal, maturing 3-28-83 at <br />11.25% interest. <br /> <br />Hicks moved, seconded by Johnson, that Council ratify the <br />Treasurer's report. Motion carried unanimously (5-0). <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Test of New Civil Defense Siren at 4250 Old Highway 10 - <br />Wednesday October ~ 1 :00 p.m. _ <br />Council was referred to McNiesh's memO of 9-24-82. Council re- <br />~ested that a notice of the siren test be published in the New <br />Brighton Bulletin. <br /> <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE CLERK ADMINISTRATOR CHARLOTTE MC NIESH <br /> <br />October Council Meeting Schedule <br />McNiesh reported that October 11th is Columbus Day; therefore, <br />the first regular Council meeting will have to be re-scheduled. <br /> <br />Council concurred that the October Council meetings will be held <br />on October 18th and October 25t~ <br /> <br />Claims and Payrolls _ <br />Council was referred to two claims for payment approval, in <br />addition to the claims listed: C.S.
