Parks and Recreation
In Arden Hills there are 16 pieces of land that provide 147 acres usable for
various types of recreation. This land is publicly owned by both Ramsey County
and the City.
Tony Schmidt County Park on Lake Johanna offers swimming, boating,
picnicking and a ball field.
Charles Perry Park is the City's largest park and includes several softball
diamonds, soccer fields and a hockey rink. Also included are picnic areas, scenic
beauty and a complete network of pedestrian trails which are also being developed
in Arden Hills. Currently, there are about 6 miles of finished trails which connect
a number of the City Parks and Ramsey County open space areas.
The City also operates an active recreation program schedule. These programs are
operated year round and are available to citizens of all ages. These programs
include everything from skating, swimming, tennis, and soccer to ski trips, archery
• clinics, and firearm safety.
•
