S <br /> Economic Development Committee Meeting Minutes <br /> October 20, 1994 <br /> 8: 00 a.m. <br /> Army Reserve Center <br /> 1 . The meeting was called to order at 8 : 05 a.m. <br /> 2 . Present were Trygve Egge, Steve Freimuth, Dan McCallum, <br /> Arnold Lindberg, Council Liaison Beverly Aplikowski and <br /> Community Planning Coordinator Brian Fritsinger. <br /> Absent were : Mary Miller, Jerry Moehnke, Robb Carlson <br /> Jr. , Tom Goblirsch and Terry Nagle . <br /> 3 . Monthly Report <br /> Staff reviewed the monthly activities with the <br /> Committee . Specifically the 60 day extension to the <br /> preliminary development agreement with Everest was <br /> discussed. <br /> . 4 . Business Contacts <br /> Mr. Freimuth reviewed with the Committee his recent <br /> discussions with a COOP about a grocery store at Arden <br /> Plaza. He reviewed how a COOP operates and how they <br /> may have an interest in Arden Hills . <br /> Staff will follow up with a contact to United <br /> Properties to determine the current status of the <br /> availability of Arden Plaza. A contact will then be <br /> made with Mr. Freimuth to determine the most <br /> appropriate method to contact the COOP. <br /> Discussion followed about what impact the new Rainbow <br /> in Shoreview and possible niche grocery store in the <br /> Shoreview Mall would be on these efforts . <br /> Information on 1212 Red Fox may also be forwarded to <br /> COOP. <br />
