• <br /> Economic Development Committee Meeting Minutes <br /> September 15, 1994 <br /> 8 : 00 a.m. <br /> Army Reserve Center <br /> 1 . The meeting was called to order at 8 : 00 a.m. <br /> 2 . Present were Trygve Egge, Steve Freimuth, Robb Carlson <br /> Jr. , Tom Goblirsch, Terry Nagle, Council Liasion <br /> Beverly Aplikowski and Community Planning Coordinator <br /> Brian Fritsinger. Absent were : Dan McCallum, Arnold <br /> Lindberg, Mary Miller & Jerry Moehnke . <br /> 3 . The minutes from the August 18, 1994 meeting were <br /> passed unanimously. <br /> 4 . Monthly Report <br /> Staff reviewed the monthly activities with the <br /> Committee . <br /> • 5 . T.C.A.A. P. <br /> The committee was informed that the City has delivered <br /> the request for qualifications (RFQ) to a national <br /> group of planning firms . The Council had nominated the <br /> chairperson or representative from each committee to <br /> serve on the T. C.A.A. P. reutilization committee . <br /> The Economic Development Committee discussed how the <br /> reutilization committee would relate to the City <br /> Planning process . The committee discussed how much <br /> area may be available for industrial development . <br /> Staff reminded the Committee that Alliant Techsystems <br /> is the primary tenant in the area most likely to be <br /> considered for industrial development . <br /> The Committee recognized the potential limitations this <br /> would place on other development but indicated that the <br /> discussions of re-use should look beyond Alliant as a <br /> long term tenant . Particularly due to the downsizing <br /> of the federal defense budget . <br />
