CITY OF ARDEN HILLS
MEMORANDUM
TO: Economic Development Committee
FRCS'!: Brian Fritsinger, Community Planning Coordinator F
DATE: Jame 3, 1994
SUBJECT: June Activities
The following is a short summary of the economic development activities for
the past month. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to
contact me.
1. Amoco - The SUP for the Certicare and the amended SUP for the
convenience store have been approved by the Planning Commission. The
City Council will review these on June 13.
• 2. Abra - The City Council approved the SUP for this business to begin
operations in the former Zeos building.
3. Davanni's - The Planning Commission approved new signage for Davanni's.
This change will allow the business to deviate from the "canned" signage
currently required for all Shannon Square tenants.
4. Ramada - The motel is in the process of negotiating a change in its
franchise to become a Holiday Inn. As some of you may know, the
Shoreview Holiday Inn is reverting back to it's previous name. With the
change to a Holiday Inn, significant improvements are planned to the
building and site.
5. Ryder Student Transportation - The Planning Commission approved the
Zoning Ordinance Amendment which would allow the terminal to remain
through an SUP. This will be reviewed by the City Council at the June
27, 1994 meeting. If approved, the SUP will be reviewed in July.
•
