CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> 411 MEMORANDUM <br /> DATE: May 12, 1994 <br /> TO: Economic Development Committee <br /> FROM: Brian Fritsinger, Community i ty Planning Coordinator <br /> SUBJECT: May Activities <br /> The following is a short summary of the economic development <br /> activities for the past month. If you have any questions or <br /> comments, please feel free to contact me. <br /> 1. Amoco - The SUP to operate an 8 bay Amoco Certicare in the <br /> former Great Lakes Restaurant was approved by the Planning <br /> Commission. The Commission has requested the conversion of <br /> the existing station into a convenience store be reviewed <br /> through an Amended SUP. <br /> 2. Abra Auto Body - The Planning Commission approved an SUP to <br /> operate an Abra Auto Body in the former Zeos Building. City <br /> Council will review this on May 23. <br /> 3. Round Lake - Staff has had some progress in its discussion <br /> with Everest on the development of this area. I am <br /> expecting a concept proposal to be made to the City Council <br /> later this month. <br /> 4. Davanni's - The restaurant is expanding at Shannon Square. <br /> They will be requesting a change to the sign plan at the <br /> complex which will be reviewed at the June 1 Planning <br /> Commission meeting. <br /> 5. Miscellaneous - Staff also had several discussions with <br /> Bethel College and CPI on minor expansions. A marketing <br /> packet was prepared and given to Barb Piotrowski and Ray <br /> 411 McGraw to utilize in efforts to attract redevelopment in the <br /> Red Fox/Grey Fox area. See attached. This should be a base <br /> to start from in developing an overall marketing packet for <br /> Arden Hills. <br />
