• <br /> 410w <br /> MINUTES <br /> ARDEN HILLS TASK FORCE <br /> TO <br /> ESTABLISH AN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE <br /> NOVEMBER 18, 1993 <br /> Present : <br /> Terry Nagel, Mary Miller, Beverly Aplikowski, Brian Fritsinger, <br /> Arnold Lindberg, Jerry Moehnke, Steve Freimuth, Tom Goblirsch. <br /> Absent was Tom Giguere and Dan McCallum. <br /> 1 . The meeting began at 8 : 00 a.m. and introductions were <br /> made . <br /> 2 . The Minutes of October 22, 1993 were approved. Staff was <br /> directed to send the new members the Minutes from all <br /> past meetings . <br /> 3 . General Discussion: For all members a copy of the <br /> Resolution establishing an Economic Development <br /> Committee . A copy of this Resolution should also be sent <br /> to Gary Wink at Chamber of Commerce . <br /> The City should solicit in the paper for anyone else <br /> . interested in serving on the Committee . Brian will <br /> obtain a list of businesses from the Chamber of Commerce <br /> for review at next meeting. Other members will contact <br /> the National Federation of businesses and Dunn and <br /> Bradstreet . <br /> Brian and Mary will work on Letter of Introduction to <br /> area businesses, local banks, developers, and realtors . <br /> Mary will draft the letter and then contact Brian. <br /> Staff should prepare several additional color coordinated <br /> City Maps . <br /> At the next meeting, the Committee should discuss the contents of <br /> a survey to be used with area businesses . This survey will include <br /> some questions similar to the following: <br /> 1 . How do you feel about Arden Hills? <br /> 2 . What can be changed? <br /> Staff should be sure to send several examples of survey to everyone <br /> with next agenda packet . <br /> The next meeting will be December 16 at 8 : 00 a.m. The meeting will <br /> be held at City Hall Conference Room. <br /> • BF/sl <br />
