<br />Minates of Arden Hills Council Heeting <br /> <br />June 28, 1'182 <br /> <br />estimates as well as reciprocal estimates will be considered ~y <br />the Committee in preparing its recommendations for '82-83 season. <br /> <br />Newsletter Committee M!eting of June 16th <br /> <br />Council was referred to Minutes of Newsletter Publication Committee <br />(6-16-82) and attached draft of Policy Statement approved by the <br />Commi t tee. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Council reviewed the Policy Statement, and after discussion, <br />McAllister moved, seconded by Ricks, that Council adopt Resolution <br />No. 82-37, adopting the Policy Statement as modified. Motion <br />carrjed unanimously (5-0). <br /> <br />Modifications by Council were as follows: <br /> <br />1. Consistent use of "City of Arden Hills" throughout. <br /> <br />2. 2nd paragraph changed to read ".... is adopted by <br />the City of Arden Hills for the Newsletter Committee <br />in furtherance..." <br /> <br />3. Defj.nition I, changed to read: "Ne:'leletter" shall <br />mean oue or more printed publications designed <br />specifically for the citizens of Arden Hills. <br /> <br />4. Definition 5, insert Mprintad" - "... dissemination <br />of Drinted information..." <br /> <br />5. VI Publications, change 1st sentence to delete <br />media or ml!ldi~ and insert format. <br /> <br />McAllister referred Council to article in March 1976 Newsletter <br />(attached to Minutes) relative to Northwestern Suburban Youth <br />Ser'dcs Bureeu. <br /> <br />It was noted that Ramsey County uses other referral services; <br />refers about 5/year to NWSYS Burosu. <br /> <br />App,oval of Summer Program Leaders for Soccer, Youth SOftball, <br />l:::.!.all and Swimming <br /> <br />Council was referred to memos of 6-18-82 and 6-25-82 from Parks <br />Director B~ckley. <br /> <br />Aftar discussion, Hicks moved. seconded by McAllister, that Council <br />approve the hiring of five indivi~uals for 1982 summer program <br />activities aa listed in Buckley's memo of 6-18-82 and the hiring <br />of ~ichard Anderson, tennis instructor, at $6.00/hr (memo of 6-25-82) <br />as recomme3ded. Motion carried unanimously (5-0). <br /> <br />(Cauncil concurred that the fall and winter program personnel <br />be hired at rates not to exceed 8-10% increase over that of a <br />. year ago.) <br /> <br />Council concurred that Buckley obtain ~hB informal bids for hockey <br />rink at Hazelnut Park (memo of 6-25-82) and to discuss the quotes <br />with Council when received. <br /> <br />Ramsey COUDty Public ~atks Department Request for Input re <br />Releese ~f Hlghway Easement on Southeast Corner of Old Snelling <br />.!lnd..fpunty Road E ___ <br /> <br />After diBclls.ion.
