<br />Minutes of Special Council Mesting <br />Village of Arden Hills <br />Mondsy, April 5, 1982 - 5:30 p.m. <br />VUlage Hall <br /> <br />Csll to Order <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor Woodburn called <br />the mseting to order at 5:30 p.m. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Pre.ent - Mayor Robert Woodburn, Councilmen Dale Hicks, Diane <br />McAllister, Maurice Johnson <br /> <br />Absent -Janet Hollenhore t <br /> <br />Al.o Pre.ent - Treasurer Donald Lamb a~d Clerk Admini.trator <br />Charlotte MCNie.h <br /> <br />Resignation - Councilman Janet Hollenhoret <br />Mayor Woodburn read the lstter from Councilman Janet Hollenhorst <br />(3/30/82) resigning her po.ition as Councilman effective imme- <br />diately. <br /> <br />Resolution No. 82-21 - Accepting Resignation and Declarin~ <br />Vacancy as Councilman <br />Hicks moved, seconded by McAllister that Council approve Reso- <br />lution No. 82-21, ACKNOWLEDGING RECEIPT AND ACCEPTANCE OF <br />RESIGNATION OF COUNCILMAN JANET HOLLENHORST AND DECLARING THAT <br />A VACANCY EXISTS, AS COUNCILMAN. Motion carried unanimously <br />(4-0). <br /> <br />Procedure for Filling Vacancy <br />McNiesh explained that since Councilman Hollenhorst hsd more <br />than'two years remaining in her term of office, a person appoint- <br />ed to fill the vacancy will serve until a successor'.is elected <br />and qualified at the Special Election to be held November 2, 1982. <br />The person elected would serve out the remaining term until Dec- <br />ember 31, 1984. <br /> <br />The Council directed McNiesh to notify the news media thet resi- <br />dents interested in being considered for the appointment should <br />file en application and brief resum~with the Clerk Administrator. <br />The Council set April 30th as the deadline for submitting appli- <br />cations. <br /> <br />Ad 10urnmen t <br />Hicks moved, seconded by McAllister that the meeting adjourn at <br />6:25 p.m. Motion carried unanimously (4-0). <br /> <br />@~~atj,,>:l) f!L;~ <br /> <br />Charlotte McNiesh <br />Clerk Administrator <br /> <br />f~d4k~/d;;;~ <br />Robert L.
