Motion to Approve Appointment of Building Official (Bench Handout) <br /> MOTION: Councilmember Holden moved and Councilmember Monson seconded a <br /> motion to approve the Consent Calendar as presented and to authorize <br /> execution of all necessary documents contained therein. COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> Councilmember Rousseau thanked the Planning Commission for all of their efforts on the City's <br /> zoning code. <br /> Councilmember Rousseau stated she received a communication from a resident requesting the <br /> City consider planting a tree for the Hortmans. <br /> Councilmember Rousseau reported she hoped to see everyone at Cummings Park at 5:00 p.m. <br /> on Thursday, August 14 for the community picnic. She thanked the Lions for their continued <br /> support of the community. <br /> Councilmember Weber explained the Planning Commission met last week and discussed the <br /> chicken keeping ordinance. He noted the item was tabled due to a number of amendments that <br /> were being considered by the Planning Commission. <br /> Councilmember Weber stated he received an email from a young resident who brought to his <br /> attention a proclamation that the City of Shoreview had issued back in May regarding the safety <br /> of immigrants and human rights. This resident asked if Arden Hills would be willing to issue a <br /> similar proclamation. He then read the statement that was issued by the City of Shoreview in full <br /> for the record. He commented he supported the City of Arden Hills making a statement. <br />
