<br /> City of Arden Hills Ordinance #353 Adopting the Minnesota State Fire Code <br /> . ~ <br /> ~HlLLS <br /> CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 353 <br /> AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE MINNESOTA STATE FIRE CODE <br /> An ordinance of the City of Arden Hills adopting the Minnesota State Fire Code. This <br /> ordinance shall perpetually include the most current edition of the Minnesota State Fire <br /> Code, regulating and governing the safe-guarding of life and property from fire and <br /> explosion hazards arising from the storage, handling, and use of hazardous substances, <br /> materials, and devices, and from conditions hazardous to life or property in occupancy of <br /> buildings and premises in the City of Arden Hills; providing for the issuance of permits <br /> for hazardous uses or operations; repealing 900.06 and 900.07 of the City ordinances <br /> adopted December 17, 2001, and all other ordinances and parts of the ordinances in <br /> conflict therewith. <br /> . The City Council of the City of Arden Hills does ordain as follows: <br /> Section 1. That a certain document, two (2) copies of which are on file in the office of <br /> the Building Official of the City of Arden Hills, being marked and designated as the <br /> International Fire Code, including Appendix Chapter H, Fires or Barbeques on Balconies <br /> or Patios, (see International Fire Code Section 101.2.1, 2000 Edition), as published by <br /> the International Code Council and amended by the State of Minnesota, be and is hereby <br /> adopted as the code of the City of Arden Hills for regulating and governing the <br /> safeguarding of life and property from fire and explosion hazards arising from the <br /> storage, handling, and use of hazardous substances, materials, and devices, and from <br /> conditions hazardous to life or property in the occupancy of buildings and premises in the <br /> City of Arden Hills and providing for the issuance of permits for hazardous uses or <br /> operations; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, conditions and terms of the <br /> Minnesota State Fire Code, on file in the office of the Building Official of the City of <br /> Arden Hills are hereby referred to, adopted and made a part thereof as if fully set out in <br /> this ordinance. <br /> Section 2. That the geographic limits referred to in certain sections of the Minnesota <br /> State Fire Code are hereby established as follows; <br /> Section 3204.3.1.1. The storage of flammable cryogenic fluids in stationary <br /> containers is prohibited in zoning districts R-I, R-2, R-3, and R-4. <br /> . Section 3404.2.9.5.1. The storage of Class 1 and Class II liquids in above-ground <br /> tanks is prohibited in all districts except 1-2. <br /> #353 - 1 <br /> ---.---- <br />
