, City of Arden Hills Ordinance #352 Adopting the Minnesota State Building Code Section 3. Permits and Fees. The issuance of permits and the collection of fces shall . be as authorized in Minnesota Statutes, 168.62, Subdivision I. Permit fees shall be assessed for work govemed by this code in accordance with the fee schedule adopted by the municipality by resolution annually. In addition, a surcharge fee shall be collected on all permits issued for work governed by this code in accordance with Minnesota Statutc 168.70. Section 4. Violations and Penalties. A violation of the code is a misdemeanor (Minnesota Statutes 168.69). Section S. Building Code Optional Chapters. The Minnesota State Building Code, established pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 168.59 to 168.75 allows the Municipality to adopt by reference and enforce certain optional chapters of the most current edition of the Minnesota State Building Code. The following optional provisions identified in the most current edition of the State Building Code are hereby adopted and incorporated as part of the building code for this municipality. I. Chapter !J06, Special Fire Protection Systems with the following options: 1306.0020, Supplement 3 and 1306.0030, Option 1. . Section 6. This ordinancc and the rules, regulations, provisions, requirements, orders, and matters established and adopted hereby shall take effect and be in full force and effect after the date of its final passage and adoption.
