He stated he did not have <br /> . estimated costs for repair of these vehicles at thia ti~e and would advise <br /> Council when he receives them. <br /> Valve Replacement - EdKewater Estates <br /> Council was referred to Raddatz.s memorandum (12.5-86) reaardina the valve <br /> repl.c..-nt in the ar.. of Edaewater E.t.tes. . <br /> Raddatz adVised they were unable to complete the test on the watermain and <br /> after conferring with Barry Peters of SEH, they both concur the old valve must <br /> be leaking and should be replaced to enable testina of the line. He noted the <br /> cost for replacamant would be approximately $1,500.001 this figure is <br /> considerably l.s. th.n if the .tre.t improvement w.. completed .nd curb .nd. <br /> blacktop would have to be replaced. <br /> Raddatz further recommended that C.W. Houle retest the watermain and make sure <br /> it meet. sp.cificationt to hold 150 lb., of pre.sure. <br /> Hansen moved, seconded by Sather, that Council authorize replacement of a.te <br /> valve at Wedgewood Circle, as outlined in the Public Works Supervisor'a <br /> ~rendum of 11.5-86, .t a coat not to exc..d '2,000.00. <br /> In discusaion, Kayor asked PWS if funds were available for the replacamant of <br /> the valve. Raddatz stated he will review the budaet to determine if funda are <br /> available and report back to Council. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. (4-0). <br /> 1986 SealcoatinK - ChanKe Order No. I <br /> Kayor Woodburn explained the gravel for seal coating project was insufficient, <br /> noting it wasn't covering adequately and also, more rock. was used for Chatham <br /> Avenue are. which increaaed coata as outlined in Change Order No.1. <br /> Hicks moved, seconded by Ranaen, that Council approve Change Order' No. 1, for <br /> the 1986 S.alcoatina, which incr..... (4-0) <br /> REPORT OF VILLAGE 'l'REASURER DONALD LAMB <br /> Investments <br /> $150,000.00, at Twin City Federal @ 5.71%, to mature 1/15/87 <br /> $355,817.14, at Twin City Federal @ 5.71%, to mature 5/20/87 <br /> $100,000.00, at Twin. City Federal @ 5.76%, to mature 1/5/87 <br /> $250,000.00, at Twin. City Federal @ 5.66%, to mature 6/5/87 <br /> Treasurer noted the December tax settlement fro~ Ramsey County excluded current . <br /> special assessments. <br /> McNiesh advised there had been a policy change in dates of payment of <br /> assessments I County has extended time for collection of such payments but has <br /> kept the monies collected. She noted we can request the monies if we are <br /> obligated to meet a bond payment, otherwise the special assessments collections <br /> will be paid to the City on January 26, 1987. <br /> Hicks moved, seconded by Sather, that Council ratify Treasurer's report.
