<br /> Minutes of Special Arden Hills/Shoreview Council Meeting <br /> Village of Arden Hills <br /> Saturday, December 6, 1986 - 9:00 A.M. <br /> Shoreview Village Hall <br /> Call to Order <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor Wedell called the meeting to <br /> order at 9:10 a.m. <br /> Roll Call <br /> Present: Mayor Robert Woodburn, Councilmembers Dale Hicks, Nancy Hansen <br /> and Gary Peck <br /> Absent: Councilmember Thomas Sather <br /> Also Present: Shoreview Mayor Richard Wedell, Councilmembers Richard Sundberg, <br /> . Thomas Wegleitner and Robert Weyandt <br /> Clerk Administrators Charlotte McNiesh and Patricia Morrison, <br /> Arden Hills, Shoreview Acting City Manager Michael Black. Fire <br /> Chief Dan Winkel.and several firefighters. <br /> Purpose of Meetina <br /> The special meeting was called to discuss site selection for the South Fire <br /> Station (No.4). <br /> 1. Shoreview Site B. Cost to bring utilities to this site is estimated at <br /> $12.000 and to reclaim soil $130,000 - $140,000. Black will contact owner <br /> of site. <br /> 2. Shoreview Site C. Site has sewer and water; requires legislative action <br /> for a land trade. is on the east edge of the search area. <br /> 3. Arden Hills Site 2. McNiesh to check on cost for front half, back half, <br /> and entire 2.5 acre site. Councils concurred that purchase was preferable <br /> to leasing. McNiesh will check to see if property owner has soil boring <br /> reports. <br /> Fire Chief Dan Winkel noted that <br /> 1. We might need more than one acre. <br /> 2. If aerial ladder truck is housed at this site. .50 - 60 feet are needed. <br /> 3. Drive through provisions for fire trucks is highly desirable. <br /> 4. Fire Department would like to have input on site plan and building design. <br /> 5. Request~d a list of businesses in Arden Hills and Shoreview. <br /> COllllll8nt. was. made requesting the LJVFD input reI <br /> 1. Size and height of building required. <br /> 2. Equipment needs for Station No.4. <br /> 3.
