Two years ago I sent a survey out to all licensed <br /> haulers in Arden Hills and received a 100%response from residential haulers. What we <br /> learned from the survey is the City at that time had six residential haulers with pickups <br /> as follows: <br /> Haulers Trucks Pickups <br /> Monday 2 3 395 <br /> Tuesday 3 6 841 <br /> Wednesday 3 4 1082 <br /> Thursday 1 1 295 <br /> Friday 1 3 785 <br /> The City continues to receive numerous complaints relating to garbage setting out five <br /> days a week in most areas of the City. In an effort to minimize garbage days and <br /> complaints, the Arden Hills Operations and Finance Committee is considering the <br /> effects of standardizing collection days. Their suggestion is to go to a single day, or <br /> possibly separating the City into two zones as the City of New Brighton has. Pickups <br /> north of 694 would be on one day and south of 694 would be the next. <br /> In an effort to make any changes as fair and easy as possible, the Operations and Finance <br /> Committee is inviting representatives from each licensed residential hauler to participate <br /> in discussions on this subject at their next meeting. <br />
