October 13. 1986 <br />Page 8 <br />REPORT OF CLERK ADMINISTRATOR CHARLOTTE MCNIESH <br />Resolution No. 86-56, Restricted Parkin~ - Lexin~ton Avenue <br />Sather moved, seconded by Hicks, that Council adopt Resolution No. 86-56. <br />RESOLUTION REQUESTING RAMSEY COUNTY TO RESTRICT PARKING ALONG A PORTION OF <br />LEXINGTON AVENUE. Motion carried unanimously. (4-0) <br />Cost Participation on Lexin~ton Avenue BridRe/Bike Path <br />Council was referred to memo from Kenneth Weltzin re cost participation on the <br />Lexington Avenue Bridge/Bike Path. . <br />Hansen moved, seconded by Hicks, that Council concurs they will not be using <br />MSA Funds for the Lexington Avenue Bridge/Bike Path cost participation, because <br />no funds are available. Motion carried unanimously. (4-0) <br />Shannon Square Q Petroleum Licenses - Retail Sales. Service Station and Off <br />Sale Malt <br />Hicks moved, Hansen seconded, that Council approve the 1986 licenses for <br />Shannon Square Q Petroleum. for Retail Sales, Service Station and Off Sale <br />Malt, as submitted. Motion carried unanimously. (4-0) <br />Clerk Administrator Position Interviews <br />Mayor Woodburn advised the Council had reviewed the applications for the Clerk <br />Administrator position and noted the recommendations of the current Clerk <br />Administrator. He asked if the Council felt comfortable with the four <br />applicants chosen and if four interviews would be sufficient for a starting <br />point. <br />It was the general consensus of the Council that four interviews would be <br />sufficient and instructed the Clerk Administrator to arrange a Saturday morning <br />schedule for the interviews, allowing 45 minutes for each applicant, beginning <br />at 9:00 a.m. A tentative date of October 18 was decided, with the final <br />selection by October 27, 1986. <br />After discussion, it was decided that Mayor Woodburn, Councilmember Hansen and <br />the Clerk Administrator would be interviewing the four applicants and referring <br />. two finalists to the remaining Councilmembers for their input. <br />Claims and Payroll <br />Hicks moved. Hansen seconded. that Council approve Claims and Payroll as <br />submitted. Motion carried unanimously. (4-0) <br />Request for Former Deputy Clerk/ZoninR Administrator to Serve durinR General <br />Election <br />Clerk Administrator requested Council approve Mrs. Zehm serving as an election <br />official on October 31 and November 4, for the General Election and she be <br />compensated at her 1986 hourly salary rate. <br />The Council concurred with this request. <br />Radar Request - Hamline Avenue <br />Hansen stated she had received complaints from residents along Hamline Avenue, <br />regarding the excess vehicle speed. She requested radar patrol be placed on . <br />Hamline Avenue. <br />Adjournment <br />Hansen moved, seconded by Sather. that the meeting adjourn at 11:00 p.m. Motion <br />carried unanimously.
