<br />Minutes of Special Council Meeting <br />Village of Arden Hills <br />Saturday. September 27. 1986 <br />Village Hall <br /> <br />Call to Order <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof. Acting Mayor Dale Hicks called the <br />meeting to order at 8:35 a.m. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Present: <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Dale Hicks. Councilmembers Nancy Hansen. <br />Gary Peck and Thomas Sather. <br />Mayor Robert Woodburn. <br />Shoreview Mayor and Council,Shoreview Finance Director <br />Bill Stawarski. Fire Chief Dan Winkel. Firefighter Roger <br />Leuhrs and Larry Kahnke, Paul Malone, Clerk Administrator <br />Charlotte McNiesh. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Absent: <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Report on Land Availability <br />Stawarski reported that they were investigating a parcel on County E east of <br />Lexington Avenue, owner lives in Arizona. Shoreview staff will check on solI <br />conditions and availability. <br /> <br />McNiesh reported that the Gould property was not.for sale and that an investor <br />had purchased the St. Paul Metalcraft property and empty lots to the north. <br />Realtor John Lamb said it might be possible to lease or buy a portion of the <br />site along Lexington Avenue provided there was access from Lexington to balance <br />of the site (about $100,OOO/acre). <br /> <br />McNiesh was asked to check on the Roberts property at Red Fox Road and Dunlap <br />Street. Shoreview will make some preliminary preparations should the Ramsey . <br />County Island Lake Park become a viable site. <br /> <br />Joint Powers ARreement <br />Attorney Filla and Attorney Lynden were requested to have a draft of a Joint <br />Powers Agreement for Station No. 4 by Friday. October 3rd so the Councils can <br />review it at a Special Joint Council Meeting on Saturday, October 4. Councils <br />could then take action on the agreement at their October 6 and October 13 <br />Regular Council Meetings. <br /> <br />RecruitinR FirefiRhters <br />The consensus was that it would be desirable to recruit firefighters for Station <br />No. 4 using Cable TV. Town Crier.
